most thriller movies in the film industry come with a sub genre. these can range from anything between comic, romance, action, supernatural, sci-fi and political thrillers. these films still follow in the same lines of original thriller movies but with the added sub genre, it creates and gives the movie a twist.
i think the genre/subgenre combination hat inspires me the most would be a supernatural thriller. this is because most supernatural films are made to scare the audience and so by combining it with a thriller genre can create something that stands out in the mind of the audience. the film would be scary but also make the audiences heartbeat race and create adrenaline from the thriller genre.
if you take for example the film 'the others'. this is a supernatural thriller and so this combination has helped this film become well known and established as one of the most scariest films ever. the supernatural element of the film puts the audience in an already uncomfortable position and then by adding the thriller element, it can create a sense of adrenalin and fear in the audience.
this genre and subgenre combination could be used in our filming to create a supernatural thriller and with a combination of false plateau and the bomb theory, you can create some thing better than just a thriller movie on its own.
