Genre and Sub Genre

Genre is where types of media such as film and music  are categorised of different artistic compositions.

Sub genre is where two genres are combined together within an film. Film producers will do this to attract an wider audience. For example if an film genre was just romantic it would be more targeted towards women whereas if it was combined with another genre such as comedy which there fore would be called an (RomCom) the target audience would be targeted at men as well as women.
